You have probably seen hearts and other little symbols online and wondering “gee, how do you do that?”
In this post(http://30outof10.wordpress.com/2008/11/23/22/) I have put together a list of ALT Codes usable in nearly any program. This particular list is of symbols that work in some places, such as in email and social networking sites, but do not work elsewhere or even in programs on your own computer.
Below is the symbol, then the ALT code corresponding to make it.
To do this, hold the ALT key on your keyboard down, then type in the number ON THE NUMBER PAD. (It does not work using the numbers above the letters).
Where some symbols have a number separated by a comma (,) it’s because there is more than one ‘code’ that will do the same thing. You just need to type one corresponding number or the other (not both, just choose one)
